Weekly Wednesday night poker report

Frankly, it sucked.  Played well in the cash game before the tournament.  Was up $150 so basicallly I was freerolling when the 8:30 tourney rolled around.  Didn’t play bad in the tournament but didn’t play well either.  The only thing worse than being the first player out in a tourney is bubbling out in 5th place.  Damn!  Last 5 tournaments for me ….5 final tables…2 cashes and 3 5th’s….bummer.  The cash game after didn’t go much better.  Went broke about 2:30am.  I really don’t think I played that bad…didn’t chase after hands but just seemed like I was always holding a second best hand. Biggest loss was around $120 in a jacks or better trips to win game that went on for 1 hour.  Pot was around $500.  Again was always 1 card off from a straight or a flush.  Games that we play: Omaha hi/low, Seven card stud variations-high chicago/deuces wild, Low hole wild, roll your own.  Some five card stud deuces and one eyed jacks wild and every now and then 2/11 poker.

This was the second week in a row that I lost my limit so Im going to take a few weeks off.  Seriously considering playing in the World Poker Open in tunica in October.  Gameplan would be to start back around Sept 10.
