How was your weekend?

Mine went ok.  Spent the whole weekend packing.  My son moved back to college sunday.  All in all went pretty well.  He’s starting his sophmore year.  Last year was really really tough on me.  Guess I found out what empty nest syndrome was like.  Very very lonesome feeling.  This year was different.  Still a lonesome feeling but excited for him to get back to school.  Not sure he was that excited.  Reminds me of the old andy griffith episode where opie helps some baby birds, feeds them, looks after them, and then sets them free.  He looks in the cage and says “Paw, the cage sure looks empty”…then Andy Griffith says…”Yea son, but aren’t the trees full?”
